Campaigns Have Arrived!

As you know, Demiplane is the home to several different tabletop roleplaying games and we're proud to be the official digital companion for each of them. Whether you have created tons of characters for your online or in-person sessions, browsed through our beautifully laid out compendiums, checked out the integration with Roll20, or have simply enjoyed looking through the free basic rules, we appreciate all the support thus far. We know that Demiplane is your home for your games and we want to make it even easier to play.

Today, we’re excited to announce the first release for our most recent feature: Campaigns, a new way for game masters and players to play together on Demiplane.

Campaigns are designed to grow over time, with each wave focused on making it easier to run, manage, and enjoy your games on Demiplane.

Campaigns is available to play now:

  • The ability to create a group for your table
  • Game Masters can manage which titles and content sources are available for Character Creation
  • GMs (and players) can view and edit character sheets of permissioned players, and
  • You can import existing characters into a Job that are already build on Demiplane

To access Campaigns, navigate to your intended NEXUS from the ones we have released and it will appear on the top of the navigation bar. For mobile and tablet users, this will show up when you click the three lines at the top left corner.

If you have feedback, please pop over to our Discord and check out the #campaigns-feedback channel. Our developers are keeping a close eye on all the feedback and suggestions and we're grateful the community is helping us shape the future of this tool.

We Are Just Getting Started

Second release of features that the team is working on for Campaigns includes:

  • The ability for GMs to create and store campaign-specific NPCs and Adversaries, include information about them, and decide whether to share that information with your players (or not), and
  • The ability to create and link resources from both in and outside of the NEXUS, be they notes, links, documents, specific chapters from the Core Book, regularly used abilities, and more.

Following the second release of features for Campaigns, we'll be rolling out homebrewing capabilities and Encounter Building Running - the team is excited to bring these to you all this year!
